Who this is for

First-time cruisers who don’t know a balcony from an oceanview. Families deciding between Disney’s characters and Royal Caribbean’s water slides. Couples who want an adults-only escape on Virgin Voyages. Military and veteran families who want to know if a military rate applies to their sailing. Guests who need an accessible cabin, mobility planning, or a port plan that actually works for them.

Which line fits

  • Disney Cruise Line — Disney storytelling, characters, and kids’ clubs, plus Disney’s private island stops. Best for families who want the Disney touch at sea.
  • Royal Caribbean — Big ships packed with activities and a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay on many Caribbean sailings. Best for active families and multi-generation groups.
  • Virgin Voyages — Adults only (18+), with Wi-Fi and most dining included. Best for couples, friends, and grown-up getaways.

Not sure? That’s what the quote form is for. Tell us who’s going and what you love, and we’ll tell you honestly which line fits.

What’s included (honest scope)

  • Line and ship match — based on your crew, budget, and travel style, not whoever’s running a sale
  • Itinerary and port strategy — which sailing, which ports, and what’s worth getting off the ship for
  • Cabin strategy — category, deck, and location, with the tradeoffs explained
  • Live-priced proposal — current rates from the cruise line, with deposit and final payment dates spelled out
  • Shore day planning — line excursions vs. going on your own, and when each makes sense
  • Pre-cruise timeline — check-in, documents, dining, and activity booking windows, so nothing sneaks up on you

Military & veteran cruise rates

All three lines publish military rates on select sailings. Eligibility, ID requirements, and which sailings qualify are set by each cruise line and change often:

  • Disney Cruise Line — special rates for eligible active and retired US military and qualifying spouses, on select sailings
  • Royal Caribbean — military rates for eligible active, retired, and qualifying veteran service members, plus some spouses
  • Virgin Voyages — a Military & First Responder rate on select voyages

You’ll need to show valid military ID at the terminal. Tell us your status on the quote form and we’ll check what’s actually available for your dates. See also our veteran & military travel page.

Accessible cruising

  • Book accessible cabins early. Each ship has a limited number, and they go first.
  • Know the cabin types. Fully accessible cabins have wider doors, roll-in showers, and grab bars. Modified cabins have some of those features. We’ll ask the line for the details that matter to you.
  • Watch for tender ports. At some ports, guests reach shore by small boat, and rough seas can make that hard or impossible with a wheelchair or scooter. We’ll flag those stops before you book.
  • Submit the line’s special-needs form at booking. Assisted boarding, equipment delivery, and medical requests go through it.
  • Get it in writing. We confirm your accessible features and services with the cruise line before you sail.

What we don’t do

We don’t invent discounts or quote prices from memory — every rate comes live from the cruise line. We don’t hold your payments — you book and pay the cruise line directly. We don’t use cruise line logos or characters; ship and destination photos identify the place, not a partnership.
